There are countless benefits in being able to provide access to your project management tool such as Trello, Teamwork, Slack, Asana, etc. On the Accelerate and Scale plans, you can set up the Zapier integration or the Slack integration in order to use your project management tool to send in tasks through our portal.
That way, if you're using an external project management tool, you can set up your tasks inside that tool and then set up triggers to send them through to the portal. If you have on-demand recurring or scheduled tasks, we still recommend that you use the 'recurring tasks' tab inside of the portal to manage those.
In addition, if you are using our Project Manager add-on, you can give access to your tool to your PM and they will be able to login, send in tasks from your tool, and mark them as complete.
Q: I'm on the scale plan, is there a way my clients can submit tasks without them seeing the portal?
A: Yes! The best way to set this up is to set up the Zapier Integration with your project management tool (for this example, we'll use Asana.) Then, create a form inside Asana (this can be plain or branded to you) that includes everything needed for your client's task to be finished (name, task type, summary, explanation, etc.) and have the trigger set up to send those form responses into the portal as tasks.
