What is a Secure Note?
A secure note is a safe and encrypted method of storing sensitive information, ensuring that it remains protected from unauthorized access. Typically, secure notes are used to store critical data such as passwords, login credentials, security questions, PINs, and other confidential information.
At Automation Agency, we now offer our own secure note feature that allows you to securely share passwords and other sensitive data with us, knowing it will be protected.
Here's How It Works:
Step 1: Log in to your Automation Agency Portal
Start by logging into your account on the Automation Agency Portal. Once logged in, open a task.
Step 2: Access the "Share Password Securely" Option
Within the Task Actions, click on the "Share Password Securely" button.
Step 3: Enter Your Login Credentials
Add your login details (username, password, etc.) into the provided fields. When you're ready, simply click the "Share Securely" button.
What Happens Next?
Once you’ve shared your credentials through the secure note, we’ll be notified and can immediately access the information. Rest assured, your login details will be stored securely and safely.
The note will auto-expire after being viewed, ensuring that it cannot be accessed again. This makes it a safe, temporary solution for sharing sensitive data.
Why Use Secure Notes?
We highly recommend using our Secure Note feature for sharing certain types of passwords that aren’t advisable to store in password managers like LastPass. These include:
Hosting FTP Logins – FTP login credentials are often sensitive and require a higher level of security.
WordPress Admin Logins – Your WordPress admin login information should always be handled with extra care.
Temporary Access for Urgent Tasks – If you need us to access a platform urgently, you can share a temporary password via Secure Note, ensuring it's only valid for a limited time.
