The Ideas Library is your central hub for capturing, organizing, and executing marketing ideas with the help of the Automation Agency Concierge AI and our human team.
What is the Ideas Library?
The Ideas Library lets you save actionable ideas from your Concierge conversations so you never lose track of great strategies, content concepts, or project ideas.
Think of it as your marketing "someday/maybe" list - a place to capture ideas when inspiration strikes, then come back to execute them when you're ready.
How to Save an Idea

- Highlight any text in a Concierge AI response (strategies, content examples, concepts, frameworks)
- Click "Save as Idea" in the popup menu
- Add tags(optional) like:

- Click "+ New Idea"
- Write your idea and add tags
- Save to "To Explore"
Organizing Your Ideas
Idea States:
Ideas move through 3 main states as you work on them:
| State | What It Means | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| To Explore | Ideas you haven't started yet | Default state when saving ideas |
| In Progress | Ideas you're actively working on | When you've started execution (exploring with Concierge, tasks submitted to team, video recording in process) |
| Done | Completed and shipped | When the idea is live/published/complete |
Tip: You can also Discard ideas that are no longer relevant.
In Progress Status Tracking:
When an idea is In Progress, it has one of two statuses to help you track who's blocking progress:
| Status | What It Means | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Action Required | Waiting on YOU to do something | • Record the video • Continue the Concierge conversation • Reply to a task • Approve copy • Provide login credentials |
| Waiting on Team | Waiting on the AA team | • Design task in progress • Video being edited • Automation being built • Waiting for task completion |
How to update status: Simply click the status badge on the idea card to toggle between "Action Required" and "Waiting on Team."
This quick visual lets you know at a glance: Is this idea stuck on me, or is the team working on it?
Team Visibility:
By default, all ideas are visible to everyone on your account. This helps with team collaboration and transparency.
To filter to your own ideas: Click the filter to show only ideas created by you or assigned to you.
Why team visibility? So your team members can see what's in the pipeline, collaborate on ideas, and avoid duplicate work.
Finding Your Ideas
Filtering:
- Filter by tag and/or brand to see only ideas with that tag for that brand
Viewing:
- Click any idea to see:
- The original text you saved
- Which conversation it came from (with link back)
- Tags and current state
- Notes you've added
Working on Your Ideas
Option 1: Explore in the Original Conversation
Click "View Original Conversation" to see the full context where the idea came from. Continue working in that thread.
Best for: Ideas that are part of a larger discussion or project.
Option 2: Start a New Conversation
Click "Explore with Concierge" to start a fresh conversation focused just on this idea.
Best for: Ideas you want to execute independently from the original context.
What happens next:
- Alex (your Concierge) will help you flesh out the idea
- Specialists like Clara, Sam, Vinnie, Debbie, or Sally may join to help
- You might create tasks for the human team
- You'll move the idea from "To Explore" → "In Progress" → "Done" as you execute
Common Use Cases
1. Saving Strategy Options for Later
Scenario: Sam the Strategist gives you 10 recommendations. You can only action 1 right now.
Solution: Save the other 9 as ideas tagged "Strategy." Come back to them next month when you have bandwidth.
2. Capturing Great Hooks & Copy Concepts
Scenario: Clara writes 5 different hook angles for a campaign. You use 1 now, but the others are gold.
Solution: Save the unused hooks as ideas tagged "Social Post" or "Copy Concept." Reference them when creating future campaigns.
3. Inspiration & Competitive Analysis
Scenario: You see a competitor's brilliant ad concept. Alex analyzes what makes it work.
Solution: Save the breakdown as an idea tagged "Inspiration." Use it as a reference when briefing the design team on future ads.
4. Video Production Pipeline
Scenario: Clara writes a great video script. You need to record it, then Vinnie will edit.
Steps:
- Save the script as an idea tagged "Video"
- Move to In Progress (Action Required) to remind yourself to record
- After recording, update to In Progress (Waiting on Team) and submit video editing task
- Move to Done when published
The status toggle keeps you clear on: "Do I need to act, or is the team handling it?"
5. Campaign Planning & Phased Execution
Scenario: You're planning a launch campaign but not ready to execute yet.
Solution: Save campaign elements as separate ideas:
- "Launch email sequence" (Email)
- "Facebook ads for launch" (Campaign)
- "Webinar landing page" (Web)
- "Post-purchase automation" (Automation)
Move them from To Explore → In Progress as you execute each phase. Use status toggles to track which are waiting on you vs. the team.
6. Social Media Content Ideas
Scenario: During a conversation with Sam, you brainstorm 20 content angles. You don't need posts written yet - just want to remember the ideas.
Solution: Save each angle as an idea tagged "Social Post." When you're ready to create content, explore those ideas with Clara to write the actual copy, then have Sally schedule it.
Note: You're saving the concept ("Share client transformation story using before/after framework"), not the finished copy. When it's time to execute, Clara writes it fresh.
7. Collecting Good Copy for Future Reference
Scenario: Clara writes amazing email copy for one campaign, but there's a specific paragraph you love that doesn't fit this project.
Solution: Save just that paragraph as an idea tagged "Copy Snippet" or "Email." Use it as inspiration for future campaigns.
Tips for Success
✅ DO:
- Save concepts, not finished work - save hooks, angles, strategy ideas, inspiration - things you want to revisit
- Use tags consistently - pick 5-10 core tags and stick with them for easy filtering
- Toggle status religiously - when you submit a task, flip from "Action Required" to "Waiting on Team" immediately
- Review "Action Required" daily - this is your personal blocker list
- Review "To Explore" weekly - spend 5 minutes planning what to action next
- Mark ideas "Done" when complete - it's motivating to see your progress!
- Share visibility with your team - everyone seeing ideas prevents duplicate work and enables collaboration
❌ DON'T:
- Save finished copy just to schedule it later (just have Sally schedule it now instead)
- Let "Action Required" pile up without acting - if something's been blocked on you for weeks, either act or discard
- Over-organize with too many tags - keep it simple
- Forget to discard outdated ideas - if it's been 6 months and you haven't touched it, it's probably not a priority
FAQ
Can Alex or other AI personas see my saved ideas?
No. The AI cannot create, read, or update your Ideas Library directly. You manage it manually.
However, when you click "Explore with Concierge" on an idea, the AI will see that specific idea text in the new conversation and can help you execute it.
Can my team see my ideas?
Yes. By default, all ideas are visible to everyone on your account. This supports collaboration and transparency.
You can filter to show only ideas created by you or assigned to you if you want to focus on your own list.
How do I know if an idea is waiting on me or the team?
When an idea is In Progress, look at its status:
- Action Required = You need to do something
- Waiting on Team = The team is working on it
Click the status badge on the card to toggle between these states as progress happens.
What's the difference between an Idea and a Task?
| Ideas | Tasks |
|---|---|
| Things YOU want to explore/execute | Work delegated to the human AA team |
| You manage the workflow status of ideas | The team manages the workflow statuses of tasks |
| Flexible, can be vague concepts | Requires clear specifications |
| No cost or task limit | Uses your active task slots |
| Examples: "Try Facebook ads," "Hook: 'If I lost everything tomorrow...'", "Explore webinar strategy" | Examples: "Design this Facebook ad (specs provided)," "Build this landing page," "Set up this automation" |
Workflow: Idea (concept) → Explore with Concierge (flesh it out) → Create Task(s) for the team (execution)
Can I assign an idea to a team member?
